For the 2022 Fêtes de Jeanne d’Arc in Orléans - an annual, city-wide event where the city and its people celebrate their profound gratitude and perpetual love for Joan - the guys at Atmédia & Partner's, the media agency that's been doing most of Orléans' PR work for the past few years, have done a remarkable job. For this year's edition the posters show Joan wielding her sword, only her silhouette was made using some of the city's iconic landmarks like the beautiful Cathédrale Sainte-Croix, and the house of Jaques Boucher, general treasurer of the Duke of Orléans, with whom Joan stayed between 29th April and 9th May 1429. Joan's legendary banner is also there, with colorful plants and flowers filling the gaps and shaping her arms, a nice nod to Orléans' rich floral environment. The result is stunning. Truly a touching illustration that perfectly captures the unbreakable symbiosis between Joan and the city of Orléans.
